Poor culture/environment Pathetic work life balance Leadership team is not supportive Will be treated like intern Managers are not supportive Loads of work load and pressure as work not devised properly No skip levels call Your view and suggestions doesn’t matter to anyone Even for taking a leave you have to beg your manager and they will keep taunting No structured the Managing directors, managers , stake holders and eveybody msgs you on whatsapp No proper channel for professional chat Targets are pushed , no matter if they are manageable or not Poor appraisal and bonus even if you are given the good rating and feedback Only the ones who will chato the managers will get the best Hard working people are not respected They make you work till 10-11 at night Want you up at 9 doesnt matter if the manager wakes up at 12 in the noon Managers are too bossy you will feel like a slave

Pros

I would like to take time here - BCG take care of well being of every one - Free food and snacks ( Only point many people think not to shift) - Very good health insurance which covers dental and vision care - Party hard and outings - Your career would be great if you are under a good manager (but pretty less chances) - Smart jugard implementation crowd - Good to have exposure for 2-3 years only

Here comes the reality - Over time(make sure sacrifice ME time) - Blame game culture not supportive crowd to work with - No Job security - I have seen two layoffs at senior levels like manager and above they were laid of all of sudden they won't come to office then you will get gossips that they have resigned (this is way back before corona) - Much delayed promotion (saw people at same level with 7 years as Lead) - Entire universe they have only benchmarking projects nothing other than this,after some time you will not be able to sell yourself with domain skills a big hit to your CV - Starting from last year less than 10% hike - Politics (dangerous politics I would like to highlight) - Rude top management - Racism,red tapism, rating based on gossips - No value for lateral entry they just believe inside groups - Start a group and spread gossips around until it reaches managers - Heavy pressure employees would be kept in PIP frequently - If you are at Bangalore then don't forget you don't have a strong management to hold you back it would be like you are vendor to Delhi office

Pros

Fast-paced, very smart and nice people to work with. Excellent benefits. The level of expectations is high which is is intellectually very stimulating.

Cons

Focus is on consulting staff. There are no career paths for Support Functions. Glass ceiling with former consultants taking support function roles at senior manager and Director levels which are no longer accessible. Support function staff are not trained or upskilled to take those roles either. Learning offering is very poor.

Best place to grow 'horizontally' and geographically diverse

- leadership change brings in a different span of control - limited to work in India region - working only within 2 practice areas - BFSI and Manufacturing - 'Me too' sales experience - slide copycats - lack of growth beyond a manager role for expert track

Great brand, exposure to different industries and functions, excellent health insurance and the overall compensation package, lifetime "alumni" networking, talented and driven coworkers, great formal training program throughout your tenure

Unnecessary, excessive stress from being constantly evaluated and reprimanded; reviews skew heavily towards areas for development while strengths and good results are taken for granted; mistakes are not tolerated and therefore it's safer to be conservative rather than creative; unsustainable work hours; unrealistic deadlines; the staffing process is political and network-driven; a lot rides on the success of the first project and whether you luck into a manager that you get along with
