    I have been working at Boston Market full-time

    Pros

    Employees that stick around are great people. Most new hires do not last more than a month due to bad pay (usually minimum wage) and extreme work load.

    Cons

    Minimum wage to start, no raise after probationary period or at six months, insurance and benefits never discussed and premiums too high unless you have Culpeper management position, long hours for f/t employees usually with no breaks, lacks communication and consistency from in store upper management, employee medical issues are dismissed even with doctor's note, no correct training for new hires, advancement almost impossible due to upper in store management, fear of repercussion for missing work for medical/family issues, and many more,
    *This is ONLY my account of events witnessed and my treatment during time of employment. I cannot speak for other employees' experiences.

    Advice to Management

    LISTEN!!!!Hear your employee's concerns and handle in a professional manner. Do NOT reprimand any employee in front of other coworkers and other HSMs. Treat people fairly all of the time, not treat them better to get more work and worse when they have questions about your requests.

    -Management is some crap
    - Barely get raises(worked there 3 years and didn't get a raise)

    Easy to learn the job.

    Cons

    Unprofessional company management. Performance evaluations not always shared won employee, raises non-existent or conditionally provided. Good work not rewarded even when advancement is sought. Best workers are exploited to point of burnout, not paid more for more work intensive/demanding positions

    Advice to Management

    Treat your good employees with respect and value their hard work- demonstrate this with raises (even if small). Follow through on promises to promote qualified candidates. Stop micromanaging even your top performers. Good people are leaving your company because of this.

    Advice to Management

    Management needs to start holding people accountable for their actions, plan when making business changes, and put in place better training for all teams and departments.

    everyone will tell you how bad your doing, no one in upper management can tell you how to fix it.
