    Pros

-Peers are wonderful -Some perks (discounted T Pass) -Great insurance

    Cons

    - Management has no clue what is going on with projects and front line workers - Rampant scapegoating for new employees for structural issues -Performance based (very biased) pay increases -No care or structure in space for processing on the job trauma -I got written up for my cat dying-- was told I should have sat in the ER vet parking lot w/my laptop to work during the ordeal.

    Amazing place to work

    Pros

This facility has the best combination of the most challenging patient population and the most brilliant and dedicated staff. Before I came here I was feeling burnt out with the medical industry, but now I leave everyday knowing that I made a difference. (Sounds corny, but it's true)

    Cons

Parking is expensive and far from campus.

The department in which I worked in went beyond themselves to continue educating their employees and always seeking to be better.

    Cons

Parking is awful and wish they had an employee lot.

    Pros

Learn to speed walk through the 'Methadone Mile' from the parking garage to work!

    Cons

Worked in facilities dept. Workers are henpecked and pushed to the limit. Must look busy and be willing to do just about anything that they're ordered to do. Management micromanages to the point of exhaustion. Very cliquey place, and if you miss a beat they will come down on you with both feet. Will tell you anything to get you into the fold and then it's a full court press to make you feel like you're being watched in every conceivable way. They have a triple-check system of watching their workers with camera's all over the place. Many unhappy workers there pretend to be happy while counting the days until retirement. BTW: parking will set you back in excess of $225 a month!

    Unsafe place to work

Jun 18, 2021 - Registered Nurse in Boston, MA

    Pros

Excellent pay, free health benefits if you want to stay within the BMC network for your care, good retirement plan, great nurses

    Cons

Parking is a nightmare and very expensive. You have to walk quite a way to get from any of the garages to the hospital walking amongst people who are high on drugs, homeless, etc. There are frequent safety incidents inside and outside of the hospital as well as in the garages. Many instances of employees being assaulted. Security is slow to respond unless you happen to be near the emergency room. SEIU Union is a joke. Not sure what my dues are even being used for since nothing seems to get accomplished or resolved
