I have been working at Boston Properties full-time

    Pros

Loyalty to employees, great work atmosphere. Buildings are the best in class and the company is fair and honest in all it's dealings. Every co-worker I come in contact with is very proud of what we do, how we do it and the results we get.

    Cons

Dress code; ties and jackets required except in the summer. Most of our clients waer "business casual" and sometimes we are "out of place" in our suits.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing!

    Pros

Great company with great benefits. I have worked for this company for a number of years and really appreciate a company that values it's employees.

    Cons

I don't have too many cons. Most of their property in the NJ market is in Princeton, which makes for a tough commute if you don't live in the area.

    Pros

Highly stable company with a solid business strategy. Arguably the best in its business.

The people are extremely bright and friendly and if you are looking for experience in real estate you couldn't work for a better company. Good work/life balance.

    Cons

The actual office space is awful and old-school. Unfortunately BXP's work environment itself is still stuck in 1990. Ability to work remotely, which seems standard at any job these days, is not generally encouraged or supported as well as an option...... Guess they need to make sure their office buildings stay full!

    Advice to Management

Stick to the tried and true business strategy of best buildings in the best markets with an eye in other strong markets as well

    Pros

Company is enthusiastic about the work. There is a lot of room to grow at the company learning may different skills beyond what you expected to learn

    Cons

The ability to move up in the company can be difficult. The company is growing but the space in which they occupy is not.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Boston Properties always goes about their work in the most professional manner possible. Dotting every "i" and crossing every "t".

    Cons

Extremely corporate. It's either Sarbanes-Oxley or paranoid management but half of your time seems to be spent preparing for a future internal audit.

    Advice to Management

Employees spend inordinate amount of time cya'ing. Find a way to make the environment more conducive to producing rather than preparing for audits.

    Pros

    - Very pleasant office to work in
    - Great guidence from upper management
    - Great 401k program
    - Salary is great

    Cons

    - I didn't ike how serious it could be at times
    - There were really no outlets for creativety
    - Some of my co-workers were very unpleasent

    Advice to Management

I would suggest providing Salarys to all that work at Boston Properties instead of keeping them as hourly employees. They also could take the advice of lower managemnt.
