I worked at Boston Scientific as an intern

    Pros

Focus on tech, high chance for intern to be involved in projects that will directly impact the final product, if you like biomedical devices there is a lot of interesting work to be learned and done as an engineering intern

    Cons

Transparency issues regarding full time employment from an intern, communication between different depts is not as fluid as I could imagine it to be... ultimately Boston Scientific operates on a pretty traditional corporate structure so don't expect a startup environment or digital tech novelties. Eng intern pay is somewhat low albeit not unreasonably uncompetitive.

    Advice to Management

The intern program is a key stream of talent for the company. Focus on attracting the best talent- go to more recruiting events and make the selection process harder while upping rewards (mentorship, involvement, pay)

I worked at Boston Scientific as an intern

    Pros

There were a lot of activities planned for the interns to get to know the company and current interns and employees (tours of the facilities, baseball games, outings, etc.). The environment is very inclusive, open to suggestions and ideas on how to make the work experience better.

    Cons

I can't say anything negative about my experience.

I worked at Boston Scientific as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Assigned challenging and rewarding projects. When asked the team was willing to take time to answer questions and discuss ideas.

    Cons

Communication within teams could be improved. I shared a cubicle with a few people and it was crowded. The office space is not visually appealing.

    Advice to Management

Assign interns to a specific mentor for guidance and to facilitate communication. Provide interns with more background information about the products.
