    Pros

    Good teamwork atmosphere good benefits

    Cons

Head count reductions at EOY with no notice

    Advice to Management

Get over yourselves. Your "RIF's" were a huge element in 3 suicides. I nearly became the 4th. My life has been a dump hole ever since that day I was supposedly "randomly selected".

I have been working at Boston Scientific full-time

    Pros

    3 weeks vacation.
Annual bonus can be up to 10% * base salary based on plant performance and personal performance.

    Cons

    Bad work life balance
    No structured training/professional development opportunities
Hierarchical org structure. If you're not an Engineer then your opinion doesn't matter.

    Advice to Management

Focus on developing your employees and providing them with the resources for them to succeed. Management needs to be an advocate for their direct reports and receptive to the feedback they receive.

I have been working at Boston Scientific full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great problems to work on that matter to people's quality of life.
Very little politics, people are mission focused
The division really is on the cutting edge of Spinal Cord Stimulation for pain management, and Deep Brain Stimulation for movement disorders.

    Cons

Rigid pay scheme, raises barely match inflation

I have been working at Boston Scientific full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Constant focus on developing products for category leadership
    - Supportive management
    - Opportunities to expand responsibilities in your own role through an array of development assignments

    Cons

    - I'd call it more of a challenge than a con, but because the work we do is very cross-functional, it can be difficult at first to learn how to work with different teams/businesses.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be an industry leader in product development. Many of the people we hire choose BSC because of our reputation as an innovator.

    Pros

Great people, products, and life-work integration!

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Follow through with commitment to employee growth and not just provide lip service.

I have been working at Boston Scientific full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Product portfolio is solid. Clinical data and research are cutting edge. Best SCS device available. Field sales support is top notch, branding and marketing of device is consistent and always forward thinking.

    Cons

TM/CS roles not clearly defined enough, making it easy for TM's to take advantage of CS's. CS's monetary compensation is way out of line compared to TM when compared to the day in day out activities of each person.

    Advice to Management

Clearly define roles of sales people better, pay CS's a higher percentage on overall sales/revenue. Find ways to minimize TM/CS conflict based on clearer job responsibilities.
