    Pros

Great people, interesting job at first later it becomes quite boring. Cannot say anything about benefits because I don`t have comparison with other private companies but money was good.

    Cons

After a while a job becomes boring with the same thing over and over again and if your section is busy you are not able to learn anything else.

    Pros

    - Management sincerely cares about the success of the company and as well as their staff
    - The company invests in the education and growth of their staff
    - I wasn't thrown into a position, I was mentored and challenged and always knew I had the support of my immediate supervisor as well as Executive level management
    - Work/Life balance is strongly supported
    - The company puts the safety of their staff first and closes the building during severe inclement weather, and is very understanding when staff have trouble getting to work during inclement weather
    - Company wide lunches are provided and catered on occasion to reward the hard working employees
    - Fun contests and rewards during Lab Week
    - Management works diligently to create a culture and atmosphere of support, appreciation, respect, and satisfaction

    Cons

    - Downsizing that has occurred over the passed several years

    Advice to Management

None, management works very hard to support the success of company and their staff.

I worked at Bostwick Laboratories full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Cooperative counterparts willing to help. The billing policy they did stand by..

    Cons

Entire upper layers of management. When my manager came to ride with me and saw/found out I was 16 weeks pregnant I was told the next day that they were integrating specialties and realigning (now mind you my husbands a navy seal/ green beret) offered me (we live in the panhandle where they moved the entire group 4 years ago)- broward & dade counties ONLY .. Had no choice other than to speak with the state regarding wrongful being "basically downsized or terminated- even though I had the largest WH account in the country, so many specimens the courier had to pick up from 3 bins in the office twice every day....
At that time everyone reported to the CEO (who's never been in this industry, in this country prior to doing what he should refocus his career on- raising capital...

    Advice to Management

Saying nothing, when they are trying to get you to do their ppt slides for a board meeting; just hours before the meeting, say plenty.

I worked at Bostwick Laboratories full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great management team. I had excellent co workers. Pay is competitive.
Work conditions are good. Management makes effort to connect with the employees.

    Cons

Nothing that I can think of. Probably an onsite cafe will help with employee productivity.
More training opportunities and rotation will help development of employees.

    Advice to Management

Consider having team building events and some more onsite facilities. More training and career development will help with retaining an developing talent.
