I have been working at Boudin Bakeries part-time

    Pros

I enjoy preparing the food and serving the customers. I like the teamwork atmosphere and the close proximity to my house.

    Cons

This field isn't related to my future career which is radiology. I feel like it won't be a long term job.

    Advice to Management

The management was great but keep being consistent

I have been working at Boudin Bakeries part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Free lunch
-2 ten minute and 1 thirty minute break
    compensation was slightly above average

    Cons

    -long hours
    -short staffed
-customers can be difficult/narcissistic/rude/racist at times
-Boudin is a fast casual cafe chain- no steady stream of tips like a traditional restaurant , although you have job duties and stresses of traditional restaurant.

I worked at Boudin Bakeries part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers were sweet and we were kind of like a family Management is supported of staff and always worked with my schedule; which was perfect at the time being a college student.

    Cons

Our location was on the smaller side so it could get a little crazy during the rushes.

I have been working at Boudin Bakeries full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The day goes by! The mission to deliver a high quality dining experience is constantly pursued. Management is very supportive of new ideas and innovation. One's talents are put to good use and allowed to flourish. The culture is professional. The food is also very high quality and the HR department is very supportive of all employees.

    Cons

Effective and efficient communication between the various organs of the business is a continuous challenge.

    Advice to Management

Continue to strive to deliver the best dining experience, and allowing employees to fully use their talents and skills.

I worked at Boudin Bakeries part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Flexible schedule. Nice co workers

    Cons

No tip sharing for cashiers, no tip jar. Raises do not carry over with minimum wage increase. I was making the same or less than people who just started, after working there for a few years

    Advice to Management

Allow your cashiers to place tip jars or at least require everyone with the same job title to share tips

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Boudin Bakeries full-time

    Pros

Near Coit Tower and Piers, but lousy location for commuting.

    Cons

HR leader and department are strange and strangely out of touch with humans. Haha. A couple of them have been there all their lives so can't get rid of them unless they finally retire or quit, but no one would hire them if they quit. That's why they've been there all their lives. They fear lawsuits because their actions attract lawsuits. They will pettily fight for every penny.

If it weren't for the brand, they wouldn't survive. Lots of dissatisfaction at the lower levels while overpaid, non-innovative people at the top. Don't work here unless you want to go nowhere in your career or get free left over food.
