I have been working at Boulder Country Club part-time

    Pros

I worked on the grounds at the Boulder Country Club. The place is beautiful, there's always something to do, and management is flexible in your daily tasks and is somewhat open to suggestions. Allows a level of autonomy at work.

    Cons

LOW pay. Tiny raises for lots of hard work. No way to move up. No benefits, seasonal employment. Patriarchal.

    Advice to Management

Give hardworking employees opportunities to move up.

I worked at Boulder Country Club part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good management, flexible with schedules especially if you're in school, fun nightly selling contests, overall great coworkers, great mentorship by managers

    Cons

Low pay - tips are very rare to come by, even if you're a great server, unprofessional coworkers - people don't show up for shift/show up hungover and you are expected to make up for their slack, high turnover

    Advice to Management

Try to hire more responsible people

I worked at Boulder Country Club part-time

    Pros

This job lets you be outside and work with great people. On top of that there are a lot of connections to be made with members and faculty.

    Cons

The hours can be gruesome in the heat, but it is well worth it.

    Pros

I worked at the BCC as a summer camp counselor. The kids were fun, the management was friendly and supportive, the parents were thankful, the pay was good, and the job was easy! How many jobs let you stay outside all day every day? In addition, many of the parents are looking for part-time summer help. I made a ton of extra money babysitting that summer.

    Cons

I have none! How many times do you get to say that?

    Advice to Management

Thank you for treating your employees with respect. I am so happy that I had such a great summer that year, and I wish you continued success!

    Pros

    Great environment with great members.

    Cons

Employees are "not important" to the management team. Everything is about the members and employees have no value.

    Advice to Management

    Treat the employees with respect.
