I have been working at Boulder County full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Boulder County values me as an individual. My supervisor gives me the flexibility and discretion to work independently, but we also work collaboratively on a lot of projects. She appreciates my insights, and makes me feel like my contributions have merit. Benefits are plentiful, and include a free ECO Pass, great health insurance, and tuition reimbursement. Boulder County promotes learning through several certificates and programs, too.

    Cons

PERA and Social Security are withdrawn from paychecks.

I worked at Boulder County for less than a year

    Pros

Great benefits! Other than this there really isn't anything...

    Cons

Management treats you like a child, and are very controlling. Incredibly understaffed with no sign of it ever changing. Very stressful.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Boulder County full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexibility, caring, room for growth and development, job security, progressive thinking, employees are allowed to give a lot of feedback to help shape the types of benefits and work environments that work best for them.

    Cons

Depending on the position, there is not always the most qualified person working in that area. It's hard to see things that obviously need to be addressed, but are constanly looked over.
