    Advice to Management

Let employee's have more of a say in changes that may be implemented before they are.

    Pros

Great Co Workers. Flexible working hours. Great benefits.

    Cons

The cost of living any where near Boulder County is so expensive it make the paycheck feel to small. They use to have Cost of Living pay increases but since they stopped that is to much of a struggle to get buy. No real Career advancement opportunities.

I have been working at Boulder County Housing and Human Services full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Co-workers are great, helping clients all day, the job could be a career if it was better managed.

    Cons

Pay is low, raises are low, no room for growth, management does not listen, too many meetings about issues and no results, massive caseloads (one feels constantly stressed out), and turn over is high.

    Advice to Management

Instead of spending so much money on training new employees, give your employees the salary they deserve which will ensure that people stay and caseloads are not strenuous. Listen to your employees. They are telling you what's wrong.

I worked at Boulder County Housing and Human Services full-time for more than a year

    Pros

People are nice and are willing to work with one another. There is a sense of community between teams.

    Cons

Salaries are low. Managers do not all have the credentials that you would imagine. Too much competition with little room for growth. Managers often support one another over what is right and are not all honestly looking out for the well being of their clients or services they provide.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate staff and take a closer look at how teams are managed - what is being said to staff - in meetings and in the field. Create and fight for for a balanced workload which limits work in progress - allowing for more closure and results.
