Pros
I love the meaningful work, the focus on the community we serve and on the employees work-life balance. We have comprehensive benefits including Health, Dental and eye insurance, eco-pass, Paid parental leave, paid public service time to volunteer, employee learning and certificate programs, tuition reimbursement, alternate schedules and/or telecommuting options, and generous leave buckets for personal time off. I... love the stability of my job in an uncertain economy. I really like the value placed on my expertise and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with my team. I also like the fact that there is opportunity for advancement,

Being a part of the government can slow down processes, and we may not be able to be as innovative as we would like because of laws and regulations. Government doesn't always pay as well as private sector, but for me the benefits balance the scales.
Advice to Management
I would like more elder care benefits. I would like to be able to telecommute more on bad weather days.
