Overall a good place to work

    Pros

    - Good company culture with emphasis on work/life balance (though many employees tend to still burn hot - in my experience, management is always willing to step in in those situations). - A lot of opportunity to advance/succeed. Many people have switched career-paths/teams within the org with the support of the organization to do so. - A lot of freedom to "work on the types of projects" you prefer (as much as they can accommodate, of course). - Generally competent leadership with a clearly defined goal and vision - a lot of transparency from the top down. - Employee insurance is covered 100% (dependents 50%) - BNTS invests in good employees and has acknowledged that retaining employees as more important than hiring new employees. - Huge emphasis/effort on DEI/Inclusion.

    Cons

As the company has grown (rapidly) it has become very disjointed with many of the "same roles" doing their jobs completely different from project to project. Furthermore, as the company has scaled up, there has been an increasingly frequent injection of "bureaucracy" (sometimes seemingly for no real benefit to anyone involved). There is stricter security to have something as trivial as a calendar on your cell phone than I have experienced working on actual government projects within highly regulated industries. Many project teams are at the mercy of their clients, which can increase volatility in your day to day. That tends to come with the agency territory, but it feels worse here than past companies.

    Pros

Weekly Town Halls in which Keith usually speaks with sincere intentions. Most companies don't have a CEO that is this employee-facing. WFH is a full-time option.

    Cons

Rapid growth in terms of hiring and multiple acquisitions inevitably leads to layoffs. Seriously, what company hires dozens of people on a weekly basis? Micromanaging to a T. Plan on 75% of your time dedicated to financial reporting, approving timesheets every hour of every day for all team members (think more involved in operations rather than the project). Plan on only having team members allocated part-time. WFH is a curse in a way, plan on being "Always ON" all day every day. Make sure you made your lunch in the morning bc if you don't respond to a slack message within a few minutes you will likely hear about it. It's a shame really. You attend the Town Halls with Keith and you are like "wow, this is a cool company, look at all of the initiatives and acquisitions". Spoiler alert, you will never be a part of these initiatives.

    Pros

If you are motivated, solution, and stay focused then you will be rewarded and acknowledged for your work. The role that I signed up for has evolved in ways I couldn’t have imagined for myself, and it’s because I am empowered to build onto my responsibilities. Bounteous will guide you in career development not tell what your career should look like. Leadership challenges you to self-assess and highlights your potential. They will also provide you with the means to pursue your goals. I’ve read some of the reviews referencing “lack of advancement” or limited growth opportunity. That has not been my experience at all nor have I witnessed those limitations with my peers as they advance forward. For those who feel stuck, stick with it! Talk to your manager. It's worth it.

    Cons

This company is going through growing pains that stem from acquisitions but those who embrace change will continue to grow here versus those who fight it. For the areas in this agency that don’t have a process or structure, I see as opportunity for someone to step up and take action. Leadership will listen.

Be warned. The culture isn't what you think.

    Pros

Remote work Unlimited PTO Flexible around your personal needs

    Cons

Lots of cons here. years of hyper-growth combined with acquisitions has both the team and the client wondering what is going on and why the service they were getting is now almost double the cost. Big agencies need big pockets but not always willing to walk away from the clients they acquired. The team that sells the work is not aligned with the team that does it so by the time a project starts you'll typically start to uncover that scope, team and overall understanding of the ask do not align what so ever. unnecessary process— just because you have data and insights does not mean you need to apply it to everything. Remote work is going to end to some degree. Lots of internal polls have gone around to see who is willing to go back into the office. If you join don't always expect to be able to work remotely.

    Pros

Good work/life balance policies. Flexible with working remote or in office

    Cons

Bounteous laid off a chunk of employees overnight with no warning. Woke up to a meeting scheduled at 9:00am that was sent out at 9:00pm the night before to tell me the news. They told me it was just company restructuring but after talking to other employees who recieved the same treatment I came to the conclusion it was just simply lay offs. This was after receiving good work performance reviews as well so still unclear on what happened. On top of that, even though I got 6 week severance pay, my health benefits were cut off just a day after being laid off
