    Pros

Great place to work. This is a company with a true understanding of customer service and takes its time to develops its workers to reach newer heights. With out a doubt I recommend this job to anyone looking for a promising career.

    Cons

Can tend to become overwhelming at times.

    Advice to Management

Would like for more training programs to be in place. Develop more interactive videos more 1 on 1 coaching with trainers, and possibly longer classes when away at core training.

I have been working at Bowlero Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, Great atmosphere (depending on time of day), awesome quarterly bonus program. Company is expanding like crazy! There’s definitely great opportunities when looking into promotion. This company has promoted so much within, its great!

    Cons

Know right off the bat the job is evening/night work. Working at a recently upgraded center that’s projecting 4 million EBITDAR, and such extremely high volume; I think we should’ve been getting paid a little bit more salary wise.
Many times at the OM position I found it difficult to manage my work/life balance. Especially during peak season (winter) it’s rare to work under 50 hours a week. Giving that the company is in the Entertainment/Customer Service business. Expect to work every weekend, no way around that.
Our center particularly, in my eyes, drew in the wrong crowd come later in the night. We’ve been having to call law enforcement on a weekly basis to either play crowd control or to break up fights. I have experienced some pretty dangerous situations unfortunately. It has come to the point that families don’t come in after 8pm because of the crowd that we attract. We are working on this though and have put security on the premises now.

    Advice to Management

I can’t say this for the whole company, but I could see that at least our district is struggling to keep managers at the moment and the turnover for associates is through the roof. Definitely try to be more proactive when it comes to keeping your employees happy. Sometimes it’s too late when Distict/Regional level management offers better compensation/counteroffers.

    Pros

laid back, fun environment. League bowlers were the only reason i stayed as long as i did

    Cons

Upper Management asks too much and gives too little. Expected to work 70+ hour work weeks with no overtime, because GM's are salaried.

    Pros

Fun work environment. Fun employees. Can get overwhelming.

    Cons

Internal promotions are not valued as much as outside hires. Not much room for internal growth.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Bowlero Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Cash in hand every night
Pays better than most server/bartender jobs ($5/hr vs $2.13/hr)
    Most employees were great people
    Free bowling
Sometimes hosts cool events in certain locales
Most league bowlers are cool and take care of you

    Cons

Very tight-fisted and paranoid - offers a $500 bonus to anyone who reports to loss prevention. One person was fired for eating a burnt cookie and another for eating popcorn after close that was going into the trash
No second chances - if reported to Loss Prevention, termination was immediate
One person was fired for about $25 in losses (popcorn and a few generous pours); person (manager) who reported them was awarded $500
Most managers were good people, but overworked
Managers alone had access to safe; would frequently find myself without coins, $1s or $5s for up to 20 minutes with a long line
    No barbacks/support
    Non-league bowlers rarely tip
Weak training - my replacement received almost no bar training and was later fired for over-pouring

    Advice to Management

Cut down on Loss Prevention efforts. Huge abuses should be prosecuted, but small things (eating food that was being thrown away) are not worth paying out $500. Paranoia goes up after an employee is fired for this and morale drops because the staff doesn't know who to trust.
