I have been working at Boyd Gaming full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The Health premiums are not expensive. Boyd will hire you with no experience for certain positions, which is great for recent college graduates looking to get experience where other employers wouldn't give you a chance until you have a few years of on-the-job experience. The company is known for job security.

    Cons

The paid time off is less than related employers. 401-k plan is not great. The salary range is less than industry averages.

    Advice to Management

Be open to change and not stuck on the attitude of, "it's always been done this way so why do we have to change".

    Pros

Teamwork and collaboration. Positive people working toward a common goal and that is to serve our customers and create an extraordinary experience.

    Cons

I don't really have any. We are going through some great change that feels a bit hefty right now - but we are going to be better because of it.

    Advice to Management

Continue to communicate with and trust the smart and dedicated team members throughout the enterprise and we will continue to bring Boyd Style to the forefront of our day - everyday!!

I have been working at Boyd Gaming full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I really couldn't imagine working anywhere else in Las Vegas. Boyd Gaming's unique culture flows down from Bill Boyd, who truly values and respects every person who works for the company. If you ever see Bill visit one of his casinos -- and spend time talking to every single team member -- you'll understand why this company is different than the rest in Las Vegas.

    Cons

Every company has its share of issues, but no deal-breakers here, at least as far as I am concerned.
