    Negative Outlook

I worked at Boyd Gaming part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great Pay (19.50/hr +/-) , Free meals, Fun co-workers, breaks every hour. Shared tips are good if you have no personality. Bad if you making a killing at your table.

    Cons

Mid-Management lives and dies by rules. Get sick, get bad-boy points towards being fired. Friend dies, You are missing the funeral. Holidays, Say goodbye. Want daytime hours? Have fun on the graveyard. Most people lose money at your table, and most people will get angry at YOU. Months of unpaid/uncompensated training just for opportunity to get the job. Chain smokers at your tables blowing smoke in your face for 8 hours.

    Advice to Management

Management does a great job with amenities for workers, however some policies are a bit to harsh. There is not much room for forgiveness if you get sick during work and have to go to the hospital, or your brother dies and you have to no-show or quit to attend the funeral.
