Golden opportunities withering from lack of vision.
Jan 28, 2009 - Senior Art Director in San Mateo, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
National ad agency, with exposure to large clients. Good for creating work of a high caliber that gives portfolio serious impact. Very prestigious name and reputation -- by working there, these attributes become part of an individuals personal skill set. For a young creatives, wonderful opportunities to flex creative muscles on variety of significant projects, for senior creatives, great opportunities to shepherd young talent, land large accounts and build on the global prestige. Generous compensation packages, exciting travel opportunities, glossy corporation and team to belong to, proud tradition and history. Yes, there are boutique creative powerhouses, but Bozell could be a serious contender in the grand creative tradition.
Cons
Culture of neglect. No synergy between Account staff and Creative staff -- Hostility between them when opportunity to work together would be better for clients and the corporation. Also, senior management seemed to operate within a bubble. Routinely giving themselves bonuses, when it was the hardwork of the creatives which created these windfalls. Get this, for Christmas Bonus one year, we were given $15 debit card for Blockbuster! I was dumbfounded, I would have preferred a nice letter explaining, there were no funds for any bonuses, this was worse than being ignored. The message I got, was here's this global company, we're working our butts off for them, and the best they can come up with is this? It's like getting slapped in the face by the realization that your lifeblood is wallowing in mediocrity.

Good people, nice culture, decent client roster
Cons
Poor leadership, mismanagement of staff, they cling to and praise work the agency did in the past that no one at the current agency had anything to do with.

PR and Social Media Internship Review
Jun 28, 2018 - PR and Social Media Intern in Omaha, NERecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The work environment is amazing - a great balance of hard work and lots of fun in a modern, creative atmosphere. The employees are friendly and always willing to answer your questions - even the highest positions. You will learn more than you expect while working here - both about agency life and yourself. There are opportunities to obtain a permanent position after the internship, and if not, it always looks great on your resume to have that caliber of hands-on experience.
Cons
This is specific to my experience, but I feel my type of communication wasn't compatible with my director's type of communication, which caused clarification issues.
