I worked at Bradford School (Pennsylvania) part-time for more than a year

    Pros

they offer a competitive hourly rate for the job required. The hours are nice including no weekends or holidays. No evenings in the summer.

    Cons

If you drive it's 200$ a month to park- the hours get cut in the winter (if they keep you from summer) No break room Micromanaging environment Small room with no windows.

    Advice to Management

Let people work. RELAX and don't try to micromanage everything down to our clocks.

I worked at Bradford School (Pennsylvania) full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The school is located in Station Square, so there are a lot of expensive places to eat lunch. It's a smal company, so everyone knows each other very well.

    Cons

NO sick days. 2 personal days/year that do not accumulate from year to year. Management is horrible. They let the students get away with misbehaviors, they pass students even if they failed their classes, and there is no communication from management. Never any recognition and you are disliked automatically if you have children because they interfere with work. The technology at this school is non-existing and the... students are chronic complainers that come to class once/week and wonder why they fail. The benefits are outrageously expensive.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your staff and offer some recognition once in a while! A 2-3% raise is pennies. Oh, and how about offering some time off in the summer? Maybe 1 or 2 days?

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Bradford School (Pennsylvania) full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Hours are 7:45-3:15 Monday-Friday Station Square

    Cons

No professional development offered, management does not value hard-working employees, no education taking place in some programs because lesson plans are not required, unprofessional teachers that talk about students and other staff, high turnover rate, unethical grading, no HR department, $7.00 for parking, outdated technology (classrooms only have marker boards with the exception of 3 classrooms that are... constantly full), discrimination, large class sizes with some classes in the low 50's, toxic environment.

I have been working at Bradford School (Pennsylvania) full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Small classes, almost no accountability for agreeable people, day ends 3:15, some very nice people to work with, location at Station Square

    Cons

Archaic management, dress code (still want pantyhose worn), unethical grading because its for-profit school, high-turnover, no sick days, personal days or choice of vacation, year-round full-time school, very old technology, no advancement, discrimination

    Advice to Management

Need human resource department (no go-to person), improve communication between departments, care about employees and students

I worked at Bradford School (Pennsylvania)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, good management, and nice company atmosphere made working at Bradford School a pleasure, I would recommend anybody interested in youth furthering their education work here.

    Cons

There are very high expectations from management to perform at your very best. Limited opprotunities in growth and development. In addition, the benefits package was disappointing.
