I worked at Braemar Seascope full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great international exposure with potential to expand and achieve personal financial gain. Solid business clients in some sectors.

    Cons

Current Senior management appears to have lost interest or lack ability to run the company and look after employees, hence so many resigned or if their face didn’t fit they were dismissed. In many cases ex employees started their own businesses or joined other companies and became very successful competitors.

    Advice to Management

Company needs a shake up, particularly in the senior management stakes which is where the problem lies. Too much internal politics and self preservation within the management is choking the potential of the staff. In a Service/Broking company surely the staff are the company?

I worked at Braemar Seascope full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - relaxed work atmosphere - you get quiet some freedom in your work

    Cons

    - very political environment - you get compensated based on who you know and not how much P&L you make - company is run for the management, not the shareholders or employees

    Advice to Management

    - be more transparent

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Braemar Seascope full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great exposure at day one but it requires ambition hard work. As a junior you will have to show you have no problem sitting the extra hours, always be in the office before your seniors and leave after they leave.

    Cons

Very flat structure therefore no real career progress. It is down to how much money you generate and sometimes that is just down to luck as sometimes you might just be in a good position to be passed on great accounts.

    Advice to Management

Better management of juniors and better salaries.

I have been working at Braemar Seascope full-time

    Pros

    Nothing great about this company

    Cons

Management lack of direction, not willing take ownership, colleagues were always out to "kill one another" within the same dept. Double standards depending whether the boss likes you during the interviews.

    Advice to Management

    shut down

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Braemar Seascope full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Professionalism shines, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Great added benefits and general care for employees. Bosses were very nice and willing to embrace new ideas.

    Cons

Board a bit too old fashioned in terms of mentality and biological age. Wisdom is not necessarily there, given their recent "takeover"of a rival which was in fact the reverse. The company is now undergoing profound changes which may not be for the better

    Advice to Management

    Retire.
