Pros
Working remotely and getting to set your own hours. The experience is rewarding to work with students to help them understand the subject matter. There is plenty of work during the peak hours and seasons.
Cons
The pay can be kind of low. There are students that don't want to do the work and instead just want the answers. Some students can be rude and they might complain when you explain that you can't give them the answers, as some of the students don't understand the meaning of tutoring. There were too many times that students want to be transferred to another tutor. Sometimes when it is too busy there might be 3 or more students at a time being tutored by a particular tutor. Sometimes students log in under the incorrect subject and tried to convince me that English Literature is History or Social Studies. Work can dry up in the summer months.

Cons
They ask you to have at least a Bachelor's but prefer Master's degree. The pay does not match those requirements. It is hard at some points in the year to get hours. The tutor receives a lot of the blame with problem students. The students can rate you low or report you for no reason, and you have no way to rebuttal or share your side. You will be asked to work with multiple students at one time, have to respond to them within 30 sec, and you will receive no extra pay or leeway if you do not respond in time.
