I have been working at Brandon Regional Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pretty easy to get what days you really need off. The pay isn't the worst out there.

    Cons

Always busy. Can't even get a lunch sometimes. It is favoritism all day. The staff morale is down because of short staffing, overworking, and management always breathing down your neck while you work. The ceo says there's emergency pay for staff shortages but I have never heard of anyone ever receiving this. It's a complete profit hospital all day.

    Advice to Management

If you care about patient care, take care of your staff and put more staff on. Stop breathing down your employees necks all day. It's exhausting and over-burdening. You have intelligent nurses on your floors. Stop wasting time and treat them right before you lose quality employees!

I have been working at Brandon Regional Hospital full-time

    Pros

U meet some good people, there is good team work from staff. I love working with the patients.

    Cons

Management is a joke, lots of favoritism. U have to kiss people's butt to move up in the company. Pay is not all that great. The work is always overwhelming, which makes me dread going to work.

    Advice to Management

It explains the Google rating as the lowest rating hospital in this area. Your employees aren't happy!

    Pros

Growth opportunities if you kiss the right persons bottom.
    Cafeteria was not horrible.
    Newer tower was pretty nice.
    Usually staffed appropriately.

    Cons

    Clique atmosphere
    No management support.
Apparently you can be written up based on hearsay.
I would not step foot in there as a patient.

I worked at Brandon Regional Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Most of the staff are awesome to work with. Some of the most caring and understanding people I have ever met.

    Cons

Administration seems to be way out of touch with employees. Seem to have no idea what is going on with Patient care, and when it is brought to their attention, they seem not to care. They do not listen to all the cussing, complaints, the thrown feces and urine, etc due to things that only administration can change.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. They are trying to tell you how to make things better. Stop worrying about times, and actually care for the patients, not the money.

Round the floors. Put the metrics down and start providing the tools and resources needed to take care of your patients.

    Pros

    Good starting pay. Great coworkers.

    Cons

They don't have a care in the world for safety for patients. It is all about speed. Then when something goes wrong, blame the technologist. Only advance from outside.

    Advice to Management

Get employees trained by medical equipment manufacturer. Always relying on other employees for training is cheap. You get what you pay for.
