I have been working at Braun Intertec full-time

    Pros

    1. 100% Employee Owned
    2. Highly collaborative environment
    3. Diversified and Best In Class Services
    4. Available training for all employees to improve professional skills
    5. Highly competitive employee owner packages
    6. Continuous feedback and team approach to solve issues

    Cons

Even the best firms struggles with growth and transitions of any type. The intent by all employee owners is great and the firm is resilient to tackle problems. Any ex employees providing negative feedback at this stage have always had a chance to provide feedback while being employed and some may be misinformed. Unfortunate. This firm wins technical, safety and employee awards for a reason.

I have been working at Braun Intertec full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

One of the reasons I love my job at Braun Intertec is the culture. Senior management cares about making the best decision for the employee population, this is important as employee owners. As an employee owned company, I also find that Braun Intertec is more transparent than most. The importance of work/life balance is recognized.

    Cons

There are some manual processes that have not kept up with our growth, but the need for change is recognized.

    Advice to Management

    Consider additional recognition programs.

    Pros

Pay was ok, local employees great, they want 20 words to describe the pros I can't come up with that many.

    Cons

Corporate management top heavy with the belief that they are the smartest people in the room. Not promoting based on talent and results, based on PE. Bonuses were a joke, that was based on percentage not performance, just like raises. The industry changes learn! listen!

    Advice to Management

There are different ways of doing things not" for better or worse that's how we do it" . Show some damn respect for those field personnel that earn it. Your people are not as clueless as you might think. You can't learn if you're not willing.

I worked at Braun Intertec full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good co-workers, decent pay, decent paid time off.

    Cons

Micro management to the roof! Let your hired professionals do their job. Years of college doesn't eqaul out to years in the field. Leadership in the upper management is very questionable. New practices and techniques aren't looked at as profitable. Stuck in doing it the same way. But preach diversity. Employee ownership is a bunch of bull. They make huge decisions and don't ask employees their input. They just do what ever with our money. Trust is big issue always. Too many vice presidents over nothing.

    Advice to Management

Reset... Start over.... Fire your financial advisors. 2016 was a complete joke buying out APEX. Everyone that still works there has their eye on another job. Was a good place to work until the oil bubble busted and everyone was to fat and lazy to look for work. Fire 90% of your sorry project managers. Fire 50% of your engineers. The rest will do their job correctly. Too many vice presidents over nothing.

    Pros

    Pay and vacation time
    ESOP is a benefit

    Cons

Company policies followed dependent on who you work for
Long hours expected due to ever increasing workload If you don't keep up you're gone
Extremely political Be prepared to "play the game" It isn't how well you do your job it's more about how phoney you need to be
Too many vice presidents, principals, assistant principals, directors and managers
Have gone overboard with titles Receptionist is called the Director of First Impressions
Support like HR, Finance and IT are treated second rate Difficult to reach them or get them to return calls

    Advice to Management

Wise up. You constantly state you want to be the consultant and employer of choice. Stating it does not make it so, actions do. The new internal culture change along with acquisitions and the complex computer system has hit hard with how much all of this most have cost and the huge turnover rate both voluntary and thru terminations. You have one department, Finance, that has had, outside of the top people, almost a 100% turnover in the past couple of years. You appear to want the all mighty dollar no matter how it affects the quality of work performed, the employee or the customer. Brown nosers thrive and customer service is out the window. THE FOUNDATION IS CRACKED
