I have been working at Bravura Solutions full-time

    Pros

Lots of diverse interesting client work. Opportunity for international travel. Flexible working arrangements.

    Cons

Too busy, need more forward planning to cater for growth they are experiencing. Complexity from broad range of markets.

I worked at Bravura Solutions full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. Best product in industry to learn Insurance, Super, Kiwi and Wraps platform.
    2. Some real System Analyst work
    3. Company with multiple product portfolio.
    4. Some of best large and medium clients to work
    5. Great product vision

    Cons

    1. Core knowledge is limited to Business Consultants. Most of the techs don't know actual implementation or end to end cycle of products.
    2. UK, Australia,NZ even Poland office are delight to work. However India still sucks due to disconnect with global business and understanding.
    3. Bravura does not have much staff to face clients. Most of the time one person is doing everything that leads to tooooo much dependency.
    4. Company is doing good on financial aspects, i mean balance sheet, but not investing in people training and learning. Most of the Bravura folks are not even certified by any regular education body like ASFA in Australian or Certificate in Financial Planning.
    5. Pay is not at par with industry. They are almost half compared to industry in regions like India. Australia and UK is average salary. Got double hike when I left bravura, Thanks to people managers who are good for nothing.
    6. Agile process sucks at Bravura. It is actually Wagile.

    Advice to Management

    1. Hire good Business analyst.
    2. Testers are really required to have a quality product but I am sure Bravura testers are not doing fair due to lack of business knowledge.
    3. There is nothing called BA/Tester role. It is myth. Either hire a pure BA or pure Tester.
    4. Groom BA's towards Consultant role by deploying them in directly at client site along with senior consultants. Follow the British police every individual should be first a constable to become a chief.
    5. Reduce the people managers. You dont need people managers.
    6. Follow the more advance product management methods like Kanban.

I have been working at Bravura Solutions full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1.office timings
    2.cab facility
    3.food
4.sonata product is very vast and there is many things to learn in term of business & functionality
5.technical leads are very helpful to the new team members

    Cons

1.layoff is happening in company and recently two senior people were fired.
2.management is always busy in chasing people to get defects fixed and nothing else matters to them.
3.product architecture is on plain core java and sql.nothing much to experiment.
4.poor salary hikes and average salary structure and annual variable not given full.
5.hr don't hire referral candidates because they want to hire consultant candidates.lots of good for nothing managers hired recently.
6.sick leave certificate required even for one day sick leave.

    Advice to Management

1you need to learn business and technology.just taking status and passing on the status to senior management in UK & australia is not management.
2.give good compensation to your developers else they will leave soon.8-10% hike don't mean anything.
3.hire real BA people.your current BA are actually the manual testers who don't understand business.

    Pros

    Nice working environment.
    Almost fixed timings.
    Gives good increments.
    Cabs provided to employees.

    Cons

If in production support, you need to work in 24 x 7 shifts and in all shifts you need to be in office (no on call or work from home policy)
    Relationship matters more than performance
    Short or No onsite opportunity
Bad salary structure. Basic is very high hence taxable income increases. Even allowances are taxable.

I have been working at Bravura Solutions full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I would not entertain this section

    Cons

There has been a number of exits of late at all levels apart from the Executive. I have never been in a company with some much stability in the Senior team despite their failure on so many issues.

There is a feeling within the team that their the only focus is management getting their bonuses and shares while we work with no investment. Everything seems to be moving to 'how to do it cheaper' not improve quality. The new senior hires in Australia and India are incompetent in their roles without the relative experience. Some of them act unprofessionally and openly talk about cuts. It would not surprise me if they continue to look at areas to cut roles and cost for people. We will wait and see

    Advice to Management

Think about the people who bring in the revenue. Bonus scheme, training etc
