I have been working at Brayman Construction full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Brayman Construction is an excellent choice for someone looking to join a fast paced, exciting, company and industry. You are challenged to bring your A-game to work every day which really brings out the best in all of our employees. It is a great place to grow and advance your career. Brayman is perfect for someone seeking long term term employment, has confidence in their skills, is willing to learn, and is up for a challenge!

    Cons

It may take awhile for new employees to fully be comfortable in their role, but that process can be expedited for those who ask questions and seek out work if needed. Tends to have a "sink or swim" mentality and is not for people who seek constant guidance. Management gives guidance and training, but not as frequent as some may be used to. It is a "hands off" approach.

    Pros

Good people, great experience, and they wanted to teach you skills that you would use in the field. Dedicated to your experience.

    Cons

No very crucial concerns that were noticed

Very nice company to work for with the management and other team members being very approachable. I have felt right at home here since I was hired. The organization works well together.

    Cons

I have not experienced anything negative while being employed here.

    Cons

Very underpaid for the amount of work that is expected in a day.

I have been working at Brayman Construction full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Managements doors are always open. If you feel you can offer a more effective and efficient way of doing something, do your homework and present it. Management's style is to allow you to work independently, and make or break your professional success. Very welcomed as many other construction companies do not take that approach. Great working with real people who are not kissing up and kicking down!

    Cons

Vending machines outdated. Would like to see more employee functions to get employees to engage outside their departments.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing and keep in mind that that it takes all spokes in the wheel to make the wheel go around.

I worked at Brayman Construction full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The ability to think for yourself. Managers would be there to support you when needed but let you figure things out on your own. Aggressive when they need to be.

    Cons

Compensation was sub par for the work load that is required from you. Shop/yard was completely dysfunctional. Equipment was getting up in age and needed replaced. Was behind the 8 ball with technology compared to competitors.

    Advice to Management

The managers that were in place were doing what they could to make the company profitable. Need to invest in better equipment and fix the issues internally with the chain of command. Need to make the division's more like a team instead of a competition between employees. Need to create a better office atmosphere downright miserable to be in there. Get back to having fun. When employees enjoy where they work better work is performed and profits go up.

    Cons

No cons, the experience was rewarding for my career. It was a good place to work.

    Pros

Good field people and mid-level managers.

    Cons

Nothing else good to say. Worse place I've ever worked. Senior leadership is too busy playing politics and kissing up to the owner. Not ethics or regard for the people that actually do the work. Leaders ignore input or concerns from others. Awful work environment. No leadership, no values, no direction no thank you

    Advice to Management

Start over from scratch. Quit promoting your friends and get true managers.

I worked at Brayman Construction full-time

    Pros

Pay was decent for the area. Most people were pleasant. Convenient location for commute, don't have to deal with downtown traffic.

    Cons

Office atmosphere is not very welcoming to newcomers. The phrase "stuff rolls down hill" was totally evident from the first day I worked there.
