I worked at Briggs Equipment full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Stable schedule, decent pay, comfortable /quiet office

    Cons

Culture is very Clique-y, it is clear from day 1 that certain employees are looked at as being superior to others and are in complete control of whether or not you will succeed, whether or not valid. Training did not really exist, just a lot of literally watching the trainer (which this particular one was rather sassy and impatient) and copying the motions without really knowing the job role in depth. Communication is non-existent, You will not be kept in the loop about your performance and it appears that may be on purpose for some unknown reason. If there is an issue with anything it is clearly evaluated by one person and then relayed through the grapevine gossip without you ever catching word of it.

    Advice to Management

Increase communication and come up with a real training program, upper management needs to investigate issues themselves pertaining to employee performance instead of relying solely on co-workers to give accurate information .

    Pros

The benefits are great. Commission structure is very rewarding for those willing to put in the work. Great reputation within the market.

    Cons

Low base salary for sale reps. Reporting requirements can be cumbersome at times. Spend more time with administrative tasks than most sales people prefer.

    Advice to Management

Provide reps with a higher base salary that's more in line with industry averages. Improve business processes to allow reps more time to do what you really hired them to do.
