Talk to your analysts more and avoid favoritism.

I have been working at Brigham Young University (BYU) full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You will have a chance to choose what project you want to do. When you start, someone (graduate student) will help you to start knowing what you are doing. He/she will teach you how to do it until you can do it on your own.

    Cons

Sometimes boring. But, if you enjoy your research and all the events that they have, you will be okay.

I have been working at Brigham Young University (BYU) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The environment is fantastic, it is great to work with missionaries, and the benefits package is unbeatable. Plus, if you are LDS, instant job satisfaction.

    Cons

Not very much communication between Ecclesiastical and Temporal departments. Sometimes they are slow to upgrade or buy new equipment.

    Advice to Management

I would say, let employees see the long-term benefits of staying. A lot of turnover because young students are hired full-time, and go off to graduate school, etc. Help them see the possibilities of working in better-compensated positions in the future.
