I have been working at Bright Horizons Family Solutions full-time

    Pros

Great benefits, good pay, and the ability to transfer to different centers easily if you move was very helpful for me

    Cons

Always understaffed, very emotionally and physically demanding having to be on your feet all day taking care of preschoolers. You have to have high energy to do this type of work.

I have been working at Bright Horizons Family Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Bright horizons has centers everywhere so you have the opportunity to relocate pretty easily. They give plenty of hours depending on the center and provide great benefits

    Cons

very strict policies. Centers are often understaffed which means you work more than you should have to.

    Advice to Management

Up the hourly for the amount of work this job requires

I have been working at Bright Horizons Family Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefits are phenomenal. Low cost for great benefits. Pay is great for a Directors salary.

    Cons

Expectations for a Director are higher than any company I have seen in 15 years. Client Centers tend to close. VERY slow progression to succeed to next level up. It is easier going to another company to get the experience and then coming back to Bright Horizons. Teacher salaries are low comparatively but is offset by the benefits.

    Advice to Management

Upper management, help with support for type of Center.

I have been working at Bright Horizons Family Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits, guaranteed hours, great clients

    Cons

Management does not have an active presence in center resulting in unprofessional staff and lack of training. It's difficult to get time-off or flexible schedule due to high turnover and consistent short staffing. Management does not work with people who have families or disabilities.

    Advice to Management

Become more involved with classroom operations! Stop in classrooms and ask how things are going, get to know your staff and the kids! Train the staff that isn't following best practices with hands on guidance instead of videos. Drug test employees!! Accommodate people with disabilities or that have commitments with their own children. Do not force every employee to work 40 hours per week "or else" if they wish to... only work 30 that should be an option!

I worked at Bright Horizons Family Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great Benefits, Sick time and Vacation Time

    Cons

You're going to do a lot more than you signed up for and most times its expected not asked of you which in my opinion makes all the difference. Also if working here make sure you know the policies because petty is the name of the game around these parts. I personally wouldn't recommend if you have any type of self worth at all

    Advice to Management

Management training that consist of actual training not just round table gossiping.

    Pros

    This company obverse great benefits

    Cons

My center was mismanaged and under staffed. Staff was very stressed out all the time. Manager was often unaware of center policies.

    Advice to Management

Do more to alleviate the stress of the staff. weekly pizza parties are not always going to fix things.
