I worked at BrightTALK full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

They are a good place to kick start your career for a year, as long as you are planning to move on. And fast

    Cons

This is a truly awful place to work unless you're a middle class white man. This company fosters an incredibly sexist and inappropriate environment for Women, boosting some only so they can say 'look, we empower women', while simultaneously holding others back. Sexual harassment and bullying are right at the core of his organisation. The CEO and leadership team turn a blind eye, but are often part of the problem. ...

    Advice to Management

Stop being awful people and terrible management. Respect your teams and protect them from the CEO. Stop being sexist. Help people progress in their careers rather than holding them back.

I worked at BrightTALK full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - ‎There are still few good guys left but they're tiny minority.

    Cons

    - BrightTALK had massive potential but it's wasted now. All that's left is glorious company meetings to show how well they're doing and to convince everyone to stop complaining. Basically propaganda with some poor crowd control. - CEO is a control maniac who wants to micro manage everything accounting, development, UX you name it. Complete lack of experience is not a problem for him. Be prepared to be told what to do...

    Advice to Management

    - Stop the micromanagement, you're hiring people for their skills not their controllability. - Invest in new talent and try not to purge it with bad decision made by the people you misplaced your trust. - Treat your staff with respect, you'll get fair treatment in return. - Be open to constructive criticism, do not antagonise and alienate anyone that is not a "Yes" man.
