I have been working at BrightTALK full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I've worked at several large companies before coming to BrightTALK, and I have to say, this place really brings the collaboration to life. Everyone on the sales team is helpful when it comes to advice, working on deals together, or just being a listening ear, both peers and management. Across different parts of the business, everyone is willing to get involved with client questions or closing business including the...

    Cons

There are no puppies allowed in the office, also difficult to work with co-workers in the UK (this could be a timezone thing).

I have been working at BrightTALK full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I have been working for the company for close to 7 months now and have learned a lot about how B2B sales and companies operate. The greatest things about BrightTALK is that they help you not only learn but enhance the skills that you have acquired in another layer of depth. As well, you get what you out of the role from what you put in. It has taught me about time management and drive to continue to find my own...

    Cons

The only cons that I would have about the job would be the normal ones of waking up early to work. But the culture in the office wakes me up right away after coming in.

I have been working at BrightTALK full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people are very supportive and collaborative. There is constant opportunity to learn and grow in your role if you initiate that interest. The Denver office is a smaller group than the SF headquarters but very collaborative and great working environment. The general feeling is that the company wants each individual to succeed and they have a process in place to help you do so. You will be surrounded by people who take...

I worked at BrightTALK full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Centrally located in FiDi Decent food options around (no free lunches here) Nice office equipment Few nice folks To be honest, I’m reaching for pros

    Cons

This place has a weird vibe. I wasn’t expecting a dynamic, fun office... but this is just dreadful. No on cleans after themselves because nightly housekeeping comes in and as a result, there are flies that congregate around the sink. People here seem tired and spaced out half the time. In sales, prepare to be here for 12 hours with some of the lowest pay in the industry. Prepare to be embarrassingly reprimanded in front...

I have been working at BrightTALK full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Lots of ownership opportunities. Flexible working "to a point". Nice offices.

    Cons

Lack of transparency. The executives say there are clear ways to develop, but it is obvious they only want to promote and assist their clique within BrightTALK. The career development program is failing all the entry-level employees and only serves the people who've managed to escape. The culture in the various offices varies, but overall the company is toxic, lacks diversity, and isn't innovating at all. The SF...

    Advice to Management

Develop your internal talents and stop holding people back from exploring new positions. The "merit" based promotions are failing and are driving good people away from the company. The current culture is toxic and will end up purging BrightTALK of all the people who want to cultivate new ideas, push new products,a and develop your customer's experience.

I worked at BrightTALK full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Made me realize that it get's better outside of BT.

    Cons

No one hits quota and the expectations go beyond your role of a traditional SDR role. The senior sellers only hang out with each other and make a point to exclude you. If you're a girl, forget about getting a long with the other female managers in the office. Forget about being invited to happy hours if you've been with the company for less than 2 years. Oh and not to mention the pay. Expect to be paid less than...

I worked at BrightTALK full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some good people and an office in San Fran

    Cons

Where do I start? So much has been said in previous reviews that I'd hate to regurgitate but I will share my main points of why this company isn't somewhere you should go: The c suite management team don't work. They are so out of tune with what the market needs to grow the business and rely on forcing people to just outwork the competition. The offering has been reskinned so many times to make an illusion that new things...

I have been working at BrightTALK

    Pros

Awesome offering. Not only tech but an amazing lead gen ability via the community that keeps growing. Investment in young talent and developing careers has become a top priority. International company with opportunity to work with both sides of the globe. Process, Structure and overall vision improving every day

    Cons

Big challenge ahead and moving fast. Sometimes things need to be communicated uniformly across company- standard start up troubles of moving fast. Needs some more fun perks, parties etc for bonding.

    Advice to Management

Keep progressing and empowering your young employees. They are the future leaders of BrightTALK and hungry to learn/grow. Exec team needs to be strong & vocal leaders and energize the office. Increase communication across the globe- more is better! Add more fun perks inside/outside office to build relationships that last.

I have been working at BrightTALK full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

BrightTALK has the following: Good salary, opportunities to learn and get promoted, good work environment, smart people, experienced senior level leadership, managers that respect loyalty, snacks (if you care), finances are well managed, and a results based environment. I can't imagine this place being the first company I worked at right out of college. It would have spoiled me. I've worked in several employment settings...

Some of the challenges: office can be pretty noisy, working with others that are not open to a quickly changing/evolving environment, no one is going to hold your hand, no standardized on-boarding process, underperformers can be distracting, communication with the UK team can be challenging The cons here are actually pretty minimal. You are going to have to work hard and learn a ton to be good at this job. Depending...

    Advice to Management

-Take feedback about the product from the Sales Team seriously. Our customers tell us things that could help increase our client base. -Buy some jackets, t-shirts, hoodies, or something else for the team to wear. We are proud of where we work and it would be good exposure for the company. -Break down barriers between departments and minimize the "decision by committee" process on sales deals. Our team needs to be able...

I have been working at BrightTALK full-time for more than a year

    Pros

BrightTALK is not perfect - nothing is. It's a pleasure to work hard here. I am constantly being challenged to learn by management. I have mentors (very important to me). The product is interesting to me and I like the people I work with.

    Cons

Expect to be frustrated sometimes. It's worth it.
