I have been working at Brightcove full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Company provides regular communication, listens to and considers new ideas, and continually encourage both professional and personal growth - Management has been great from top to bottom, and understands the importance of a work-life balance -Company is seeing amazing growth with our customer base both new and existing, and providing custom solutions that fit our customer needs

    Cons

    - Working remotely has created some unique challenges but that is really out of the companies control - Can take a little long to get questions answered - Remember that not all products make sense within each sales market

I have been working at Brightcove full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Very good company culture and they have kept it up since Covid has come about. Aggressive Comp Plans that allow for exceeding OTE. Leadership has a lot of experience and has shifted the internal mindset across all departments to have an "all-hand on deck" to close business. Booming industry EVERYONE at the company is accessible, present and involved as much as you want/need them to be

    Cons

There is still some internal-red-tape prohibiting business to be closed as quickly as it can be Minimal growth opportunities internally with no clear path to be promoted from within. Investment in training for the reps have been few and far between.

I have been working at Brightcove full-time

    Pros

I’ve been at Brightcove for many years, and have seen many leadership teams driving strategy. Brightcove’s handling of both employees and the business during the recent pandemic challenges has been good to see. Generous work form home policy, stipends to make the unplanned home office more efficient, and policy of “take a day off if you need it” really help the morale of the team. There are tough decisions being made to keep the business moving forward as efficiently as possible. Over the past four months, the product has pivoted as well to address business needs that weren’t there just a few months ago.

    Cons

Trying to build a premium product in what is beginning to be a commoditized industry. Stock price has been challenged year over year.

I worked at Brightcove full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Read the reviews - it’s all about the food, ping pong and office space. Look deeper and then you will find there is not much depth in Pros..

    Cons

Horrible, awful people at the top. Vindictive, mean, petty . Lots of inside remarks on the exec team including making jokes about ethnicities, shaming people and more. Everything the employees see is a front and spin. Investors get the spin too. Company has underperformed for years vs the market and the excuses keep coming from the top.
