I have been working at Brink's Canada full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

Decent benefits and pension plan Most people are fun to work with

    Cons

Horrible place to start a career. Constantly shrinking, terrible management with no applicable skill sets for the job - Which shows by the horrible petty treatment of employee's, and high turn-over rate. Constantly breaking federal rules and regulations or laws and threatening or intimidating employees who stand up for their rights. If you file a complaint with the ministry, good luck not getting letters and suspensions...

I worked at Brink's Canada full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

They pay for all your health benefits and have a decent RRSP contribution program.

    Cons

I pulled my hair out working here, I tried to make it better but the technology steering crew barely can put their socks on in the morning, nevermind implement a working technical solution.

    Advice to Management

Modernize by hiring the right people, not promoting the best truck drivers to manage. Microsoft Access was awesome in 1997, wake up and smell its 2017.

      I worked at Brink's Canada part-time

      Pros

Driving is enjoyable. Co-workers are willing to stop for coffee, etc.

      Cons

The trucks aren't great. Night route is too long to be safe. You have to drive over the speed limit in order to get to all the stops.

This company is not for ambitious people. Management at the Mississauga office lacks basic professionalism to effectively develop and mentor new talent. The corporate culture is nonexistent and extremely backwards. There is no supportive team environment for new people to grow into. I worked at Brink's Canada

      Pros

Had an opportunity to work alongside some great people and made decent friends. Fairly good money for a job with few qualifications. I enjoyed interacting with the customers on a daily basis.

      Cons

A culture among the old employees to treat this as though it's the most dangerous job in the world - it's not. Little room for advancement and the work is very monotonous. Technology and policy changes are paving the way for layoffs.

      Advice to Management

Fix the employee culture with the old folks and the morale will go up across the board

      Pros

Some colleagues are very helpful and easy to work with.

      Cons

Rigid structure. I felt like working for the military. Too many managers, project managers, and executives and very few people at the bottom to do the day to day work.
