I have been working at Brink's, Incorporated full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My co workers are wonderful people to work with. Management kinda works with you if you need to leave early or need a day off.

    Cons

Favoritism, Raises are non existent, management is NOT very knowledgeable.

    Advice to Management

Get more training to be able to better do your job, offer raises and don't waste a good worker on meaningless tasks.

I worked at Brink's, Incorporated full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Challenging job which is never boring. Interact with and meet a lot of great people.

    Cons

Lack of proper workforce, staffing and development planning. Proper steps to account for turnover, and replacement/training and regulatory certification of workforce are not implemented which results in reactionary management, understaffed locations, low employee moral and inability to deliver service to level our customers deserve.

    Advice to Management

Address root cause of issues. Implement steps to improve staffing. Ask questions when there Is a breakdown in expectation and work with branch management to develop detailed plan that is realistic and achievable to correct issues. Ensure support staff works with management at all levels to execute company objectives. deliver the reasoning and why behind programs implemented to every staff level to help with buy-in and morale. Ensure people are being paid for the jobs they are doing. Take feedback not as a negative but an opportunity to train the employee or better the process. When employees disagree with process there is usually one of three things happening. Lack of communication, lack of training or an actual problem that needs to be addressed.

    Pros

Opportunity to me all types of people in the business world, and interesting view in the true economic of the U.S ( which you can get working with any other armored car company)

    Cons

You face more threats within the depot than dealing with the general public. Power and title corrupts, and the corporate office only cares about profits.

    Advice to Management

Take every complaint seriously, and stop paying agencies to cover up after an incident. Hire management with experience in security, their is a different in running an armored car company, and a UPS store.

I have been working at Brink's, Incorporated full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Plenty of hours, coworkers, real challenge and sense of accomplishment.

    Cons

Inconsistent work schedule, some days are 14 or 15 hours long. Most days are 12 hours long. Schedule changes too often, could be one thing up in the morning and by the end of day it has changed. Turn over is very high, 3 manages in the past two years alone. Messengers don't last long. Drivers are soon to be a thing of the past.

    Pros

The operations folks are wonder people

    Cons

Management is disconnected, unforgiving and uncaring. Would rather worry about a gold coin over a guard's life

    Advice to Management

Brinks should disband BGS. Keep the precious metals staff, demote all upper management and fire every security person. The soc is a waste of money, time and resources
