I have been working at Brinker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I have loved my time here at Brinker! It has by far been the best organization to work for and I have been able to grow with the company. They focus on people first, culture and accountability, your wellbeing and that of our guests and communities, and flexibility with work/life balance. I genuinely enjoy coming into work everyday and the people I work with.

    Cons

Not really a con. We are lean and mighty. Get ready to work hard, but you also get to play hard.

I have been working at Brinker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The pay well, but as we all know pay is not everything.

    Cons

The company missed sales targets greatly last year resulting in onuses not being paid out and stock prices dropping. They set a sales target this year of only a 1% increase to try to make up for failing the previous year, they are still not able to make those sales targets. Because the company is performing so poorly they just laid-off both Restaurant/Field Managers and corporate employees to make their numbers look better. A large number of Restaurant Managers quit Chili's in less than 30 days for starting due to poor work life balance and being unhappy with the role and management.
The company is still not making sales, you can assume more layoffs are in their future.
They pay high salaries t try to make up for what they lack, but again a high percentage of newly hired restaurant managers are leaving in 30 days once they realize what it is really like to work for Brinker/Chili's. This is definitely a "buyer-be-ware" situation.
Current and long standing managers are also leaving because of the low sales and instability of the companies future.
    Their Benefits are very expensive.
They will tell you about their culture but they do not live them, its just words to attract candidates.

I have been working at Brinker full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Solid company good pay and benefits. Their training program is solid and there is plenty of development along the way. Great bonus potential.

    Cons

Bonuses are out of reach for most restaurant teams, sales plans are out of reach which makes profitability tough to achieve without sacrificing hospitality

    Advice to Management

Take local leaders advice about plan look at more than just be up 5% year over year. With growing competition the market share doesn't always allow for a 5% increase and write fair plans

    Pros

The benefits (minus the healthcare) are decent; covered parking; central location; work-life balance (depending on your manager); Kool-Aid drinkers can move up the ladder pretty fast

    Cons

This company culture (fun, family-oriented, customer-centric) are long gone. There have been almost annual layoffs since Wyman took over. The cliques/favoritism in the I.T. department is rampant and groups are loaded with incompetent people (who keep getting promoted/awarded). Drink the Kool-aid and you'll survive for awhile. Outsourcing and "Managed Services" has decimated the different departments. Some leaders are extreme micro-managers (on permanent employees only). Contractors don't seem to have enough work to do and just hang out in the stairwells and parking garages. No legitimate career growth or training.

    Advice to Management

Give employees more money for training/getting their skills up to par with contractors; stop playing favorites; stop micro-managing the few employees who are left; focusing on good-tasting food and not reducing labor costs might actually increase sales!

I have been working at Brinker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Having a pay day everyday. Even if people only tip 5% the coworkers are awesome

    Cons

They pay 2.13 an hour and not 4 dollars an hour. Management is horrible.

    Pros

Very structured and strong foundation. As first level management, it is a great casual dinning company to work for comparing to other brands.

    Cons

It could interfere with home life if he or she doesn't know when to shut off.
