I have been working at Brinker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I have loved my time here at Brinker! It has by far been the best organization to work for and I have been able to grow with the company. They focus on people first, culture and accountability, your wellbeing and that of our guests and communities, and flexibility with work/life balance. I genuinely enjoy coming into work everyday and the people I work with.

    Cons

Not really a con. We are lean and mighty. Get ready to work hard, but you also get to play hard.

    I worked at Brinker full-time

    Pros

    - Very Relaxed Dress Code
    - Alcohol at work
    - Free or very cheap food
    - a lot of company holidays
    - company events

    Cons

    - Benefits and company events have been reduced over the years.
    - The Casual dining industry is struggling
    - The company is struggling
    - Recent layoffs
    - Low Morale at this time (very low survey scores)
    - Not a great CEO
    - Moving the HQ to Irving with a "new concept"

    Advice to Management

Consider the location (Irving) where the new HQ is, very far for a lot of Brinker heads = pay cut. Consider the new "Open office" concept where after taking a pay cut, lose office/ privacy of a normal cube. Have you considered everyone else is getting a raw deal out of this move?
Consider the CEO's actions (making jokes about the layoffs 1 day after they happened.) Maybe the layoffs could of been avoided, had we decided on a smarter HQ destination. Was great while i was there, but a very bad taste in my mouth on the way out. Company has changed, and that is not a good thing. Maybe the company needs a Doug Brooks -type CEO, someone who actually likes people and cares about them.

I have been working at Brinker (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free food or discounted food depending on which brand you support.

    Cons

Would encourage applicants to think twice before joining the marketing department. The team is VERY political, the leader picks favorites, has a history of sharing information about individuals that should not be shared with subordinates and does not reward based on hard work and talent. If you are someone who enjoys networking and building fake relationships with colleagues this could be a good fit for you. There are some (not all) people in management positions that shouldn’t be; the leader is all about making select people that are in her crowd happy even if they are not qualified. There have been several layoffs, the company is unstable and moral is low.
