I have been working at Bristow Group Inc full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good helicopter experience for starting out

    Cons

Poor promotion rate, pay freeze and poor moral

    Advice to Management

Maybe focuse on contracts that can boost pay and moral instead of telling the location to look at the "bigger picture".

    Pros

The company has great benefits and a friendly work environment out side of corporate. Many great employees and excellent team work on projects.

    Cons

Corporate communications is poor. Salary is lower than current market. Due to downturn in oil industry the company is suffering with numerous lay offs. No career advancement opportunities and no development of employees. No room for career growth.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on the development of employees, career growth, and training and development.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Bristow Group Inc full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Starting pay was good, raises lousy.

    Cons

No chance for advancement, power hungry execs that manage to find money for payoffs of all the execs they fire and large raises for themselves. There is no thank you for jobs well done, only criticism of any problem they percieve.

    Advice to Management

I don't think they would take any advice. A lot of preaching about being the best place to work, but in fact there is a lot of political monkey business at the top levels.

    Pros

There is a great potential for extra income due to overtime. The base pay is good. The work rotation period is very nice. New managment.

    Cons

Mentally tough work place. For example anouncements have been made during meetings that didn't occur. Not many opportunities to advance, many rule changes on how and when one maybe promoted. Simply to many maybe, if ,when and soon stories. Very hard to keep positve, its a challenge.

    Advice to Management

Unless it can be put in writing promises and offers should not be made. A promotion should be something you work towards and it should be transparent.
