    The organisation is constantly looking to improve it's performance and try new ventures.

    There is freedom to go about your job in the way that you think is best for the charity.

    Cons

    Little training on offer
    Very London focused, would have I love to London Head Office (GLH) to progress.

    Very good organisation to work for, great diverse workforce and most staff are very passionate about the cause and driven to make a difference.

    Cons

    Like in many organisations, sometimes it felt we were trying to do too much too quickly.

    Pros

    The British heart foundation is excellent to work for in that it allows you to help save lives and impact the wider community in an extremely positive way.

    Cons

    The employees are often treated poorly and unfairly, allowed minimum breaks and in my experience spoken to in a demeaning and impolite manner.

    Advice to Management

    Understand your employees are there to help, not serve. They are people looking to aid those in need of a new heart of those with other heart problems and treating them with disrespect not only knocks their confidence, but in my case pushes them to leave resulting in less people fighting to help those with heart problems.

    As a Store and Customer Assistant I was involved with sorting and tagging of incoming stock.
    Replenish shelves on shop floor.
    Serving customers and assisting with queries.
    Operating cash till.
    I have good communication skills, punctual, reliable, honest, dedicated, caring, trust worthy, healthy. Enjoy assisting customers with their requirements.

    Stricter in store security can be improved in order to curb theft.

    British Heart Foundation has maintained consistency in delivering service excellence. Keep up the wonderful service to the United Nation.

    Terrible management, Rude customers, thieves and no thanks for your work

    I love working in charity shops it's very hard work which never stops would be great if you could support staff and volunteers who work so hard for you
    Get rid of bad managers and area managers
