I have been working at Britvic Soft Drinks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Great portfolio of brands
    - Lots of nice people
    - Flexibility is allowed/encouraged in many teams.

    Cons

    - Senior management are very similar - white middle aged men with similar 'red'personalities.
    - "Act with pace" value often means things are overlooked or not done properly.
    - Company values do not encourage good ways of working.
    - On boarding is unstructured and onward development is unclear.
    - Move from a lot of field based to office based staff but still all hot desking and no screens so office based staff have to hunch over laptops.
    - Roles and Responsibilities aren't always clear.
    - Canteen is expensive.

    Advice to Management

Value your staff - reward and recognize for the right behaviours. Provide the right equipment to do our jobs. Recognise there is more than 1 way of getting something done.

I worked at Britvic Soft Drinks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great brands. Pay and reward is competitive. Some flexibility in working hours.

    Cons

Since the changes made in October the place has become dysfunctional. Teams do not work together anymore and there is very little recognition for a job well done. The new people management process is a farce. I did not have a conversation with my manager about my goals, neither were there any reviews during the year. My half year review was laughable, and I was not even given my rating. I only found out when it came through on the system.
Senior management are making changes without the proper consultation and understanding, and every one else is left to pick up the pieces. The board only hear what they want to hear, but they need to wake up and listen to what is actually going on.

    Advice to Management

Respect people and make recongnition important.

    Advice to Management

Need to support staff more, work hard and play hard, systems need reviewing

    Pros

Nice offices, friendly people at your level, easy commute

    Cons

Management are all delicate little flowers and there appeared to be a lot of backstabbing/office gossip and other such nonsense going on.

    Pros

Britvic has fantastic brands, passionate people, a great work environment and it's fun coming to work. There is a lot of responsibility and autonomy, a real feel of teamworking and a focus on people being important to the business. There is a realy buzz about the business, which is helped by a hot desking environment so you can get to know a lot of people quickly.

    Cons

You need to show initiative, be a self starter and be happy to be held accountable for the things you do - I love this but it might not be for everyone!

    Pros

    Great brands
    great ambitious company vision
    opportunities to make things happen
free soft drinks on the premises and subsidised drinks to buy for personal consumption
    modern offices with hot desking
bright fun people to work with
fab attitude to vounteering- time off and then payment to charity when you complete a volunteering task for them.
    matched fund raising

    Cons

sometimes a committee approach means its hard to know how to get things done
over analysis and revisting the same issue
less belief in brand marketing and reliance on price to hit the numbers

    Advice to Management

prioritise- we try to do too much and in very short time frames which puts pressure on people
planning takes way too long and inward looking hinders time to concentrate on getting things to market
allow people to make decisions and then live with them and stop reinventing the wheel
