    Pros

This is Avery large organization with good benefits and generous RSU grants. Management under Avago provided RSUs to all employees regardless of level.

    Cons

BUs are very separate and focus is on maintaining MBOs assigned to each BU. Every BU has a revenue and expense metric that has to be met. Business groups that are not deemed 'sustainable' are quickly shut down.

    Advice to Management

No advice for management. The current CEO is pretty clear in his expectations for each group and what the end result will be if expectations are not met.

I have been working at Broadcom full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Excellent pay and great stock performance. Benefits are good, 401K is excellent. If you solely care about making money then this will be a good fit.

    Cons

Run super lean, lots of work, lonely environment, not open to gaining efficiency. Buys companies all the time, COA environment because people are scared to lose their jobs, always adding more work while driving headcount down. Runs flat so hard to grow. No work life balance, you are always on call.

    Advice to Management

Most people work to live, not live to work. Need to find out how to give employees work life balance. Need stronger talent at the executive level, that went out the door once it was sold to Avago.

    Pros

Pay is good and Bonuses are above expectations. If you are lucky to work on profitable project, you may enjoy the company.

    Cons

Feeding on acquisitions rather than targeting innovations and talent growth. Politics of "profit harvesting" prioritizes in squeezing out the juices from newly acquired companies, followed by merciless layoffs and downsizing.

    Advice to Management

Keep tough to oppose Hock's management style
