I have been working at Broadridge full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Management is easy to talk to, pretty relaxed and comfortable environment. Really good health benefit and on-site medical office. Very focused on client relationships. Health and wellness of employees is valued. Relaxed dress code is a perk for those that prefer to dress down often. If you enjoy being challenged and the opportunity to stretch yourself thin over many aspects of a service request/ upgrade/ change, this is a good place to look. There is room for improvement and the company is expanding, so more opportunities are arising.

    Cons

Not enough notice given when weekend work is required. Not enough resource on some teams which makes the workload and expectations extremely overwhelming. With so few people on a team, requesting off for vacation, scheduling doctors' appointments or state-required duties is essentially discouraged, in my opinion. Training and transition for new employees is unsatisfactory; getting equipment and role-specific access is driven by yourself even if you don't know who/what team is responsible for it. Location is lackluster. Does not make enough effort to accommodate service members' training days; the process of requesting time off is either filing for a leave of absence or using a personal/floating holiday which is inappropriate for the request and does not apply.

    Advice to Management

Consider hiring more resources for overwhelmed/understaffed teams so that if a key member leaves, the remaining folks do not become bombarded with heavy demands. Develop a reserve/national guard policy that allows for military members to take their required annual training without such a lengthy process as a leave of absence.

I have been working at Broadridge full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Stable company that offers a decent salary while being based in central Long Island. Not having to commute to NYC is major plus. Very good 401k plan.

    Cons

No profit sharing or stock option plan. Not a place for dynamic growth. Raises and bonuses are locked into a corporate structure.

    Advice to Management

Offer profit sharing/stock options. Increase parking space available to associates.

I have been working at Broadridge full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy going and relaxed work environment if you let it be that way for you

    Cons

Some people take the job too seriously and let it impact their attitude towards others. Can sometimes feel that management doesn't have a clear direction or goal for all departments to strive for.

    Advice to Management

Stop taking on new projects. Do better on the things we already offer before trying to grow more. Focus on quality of services offered not quantity

Work from home one day out of the week.
Employees are approachable and some are willing to take out the time to teach you.
There are training courses you can take for free
    Benefits are pretty good

    Cons

Even though you get to work from home one day out of the week, upper management really frowns upon working remotely.
Upper management are distant from their employees
Never ending work given to you today that upper management wants done ... Yesterday!
Hard to get upper managements attention when there is something important they need to approve or get done then you are blamed for not getting the work done in time.
    Old school work mentality.
    Hard to advance
    A lot of role shuffling
