I have been working at Broan-NuTone full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Environment and Culture, "Can Do" mentality, Engaged Leadership, Community Involvement, Challenging Work

    Cons

It's a bit of a commute, but if you have a job that can be done remotely, there is a lot of flexibility in schedule.

I have been working at Broan-NuTone full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good teammates, Reasonable expectations, Helpful management team. Room for transfers and promotions.

    Cons

Outdated policies. New warehouse has required tweaking of procedures. This complexity is misunderstood by upper management. Departmentalized work within the company includes happy or miserable groups of people.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time watching action rather than bottom-line numbers.

I worked at Broan-NuTone full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

The Company offers descent benefits and good pay for the region. The people, especially Technical Support and Customer Service are the BEST, bar none, at their jobs and in dealing with both internal and external customers that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

    Cons

Their was little opportunity for advancement as the parent company was cash strapped and going through a bankruptcy reorganization. Also, there was a long-term freeze of pay/wage increases. There had also been a wage concession of about 8% in 2008 which not been recovered by the workers.

    Advice to Management

In order to retain excellent CS and TS workers, the company really needs to make the extra effort to reward those who deserve the accolades.

I have been working at Broan-NuTone full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Maybe I could write something a couple years ago but not now

    Cons

Greedy president and company, benefits have gotten less and cost more, more rules in distribution and management in the department is incompetent. Also the company is now cutting wages to have cheap labor. They plan on increasing profits by taking pay away from loyal employees who keep the company going everyday. It's a horrible thing.

    Advice to Management

Shape up and become more employee oriented and not so much about the speedy profits for the company. The floor workers are the ones doing the work everyday, if these wages are cut and more abuse is done to us there will be a union forming.
