I have been working at Brockton Hospital part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The things I like the most about this job are delivering the patients' trays because I get to interact with them. Also the hours are good for after school.

    Cons

The things I don't like about this job are some of the coworkers are very judgmental. Also finding someone to cover your shift is hard.

    Pros

Pro's...free parking, coffee shop in the building, for the most part co-workers are pleasant to work with and did I mention free on site parking.

    Cons

This is a non-profit hospital that is in the process of financial rebuilding. They are making progress but you often find yourself with not enough supplies to take care of patients. New CEO with a new vision several years ago, management staff has difficulty adjusting to new ways of doing things. Are reactive instead of proactive.

    Advice to Management

Your employees spirits are being crushed at the department level. Pay closer attention to how your individual managers treat their staff. Perhaps HR might be able to determine what departments experience the largest turn overs and why.

  7. "What a disaster."

    Pros

    Not sure, maybe free parking.

    Cons

Not sure where to start. IT is not taken seriously so the hospital is in the stone ages. They have a joke of a CIO, if you call him that, who is abusive and should retire. They use a lot of paper for an outdated LEAN process. LEAN was great back in the 1960s, it is 2015! The healthcare plan is only worthy if you live in Brockton or surrounding towns.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Free parking, most people nice , close to home , a lot mor con's then pros salery okay compared to similar

    Cons

Management is in the stone ages all over the hospital. System used is out dated. Facility outdated.no cross training.

    Advice to Management

Should really use lean process as a way to really change if you listen to people actually doing job will never solve problems. Cross trading should be in affect.

I have been working at Brockton Hospital full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers and hospital staff are nice and easy to work with. The management team is fantastic to work for. I love this job. I learn something new everyday, I feel trusted and appreciated, and the pay starting out was really good!

    Cons

Although the analyzers in the lab are newer and work fairly well with little issue, the rest of the lab is a little bit behind the times and could use some updating to work mor efficiently. Not really that big of a deal of course.

    Advice to Management

Share more with your employees. We are here for the same reasons as you, we deserve to share our input on everything that goes on in our department. Not being up front with people causes skepticism and hostility.
