I have been working at Brookdale Senior Living full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Loving taking care of residents,

    Cons

low hourly rate for the work assignment.

    Advice to Management

Hire a full time laundry attendant, pay more money. you have to many activity coordinators and you still have your RA's performing activities in the evening. you should be using one of them. Hire someone to clean the dining area's in the evening or use the activity coordinator. your Ra's do not have the time if you want them to focus on your residents.

I worked at Brookdale Senior Living full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with seniors is a very rewarding place to be in your career. For the right person Brookdale is a good fit.

    Cons

Pay is low compared to other local senior living companies. Stock is very low due to poor management and being too top heavy.

    Advice to Management

Always be supportive of the people who are the very foundation of the company that you are. Sell off some of the properties you can't be successful at. They are draining the company.

I have been working at Brookdale Senior Living full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Caring for the Alzheimer's Dementia R. Our Families at our community are very involved and appreciative what I do for their loved ones. I always tell families we are in there world with this disease. If we all think of it that way the R' are much more receptable to comply with care

    Cons

Staff is below standards, staff come to work late every single day scheduled. So therefore our R's are lacking something in care because now the staff has to rush through care because of being late. NOT RIGHT!!!!!! Management need to step up and quit trying to please everyone and be friends. We are here to "ENRICH THE LIVES OF THOSE WE SERVE WITH COMPASSION RESPECT, EXCELLENCE AND INTEGRITY" Staff come and go as they please it's a free for all

    Advice to Management

Tighten your pants and skirts a little tighter!!!!!!
