    Pros

If your location has management staff that has been there for a while- chances are they are a great team!

    Cons

Corporate people change things back and forth quite often... Sometimes they do things that dont really make sense.

    Advice to Management

Be consistent, and do not grow too big too fast.

I have been working at Brookdale Senior Living full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Being that I have 10 plus years of experience in this industry, when you do your job and do it well there is nothing to complain about. I have much experience with other senior living communities. Believe me I have work life balance that I have never had. If your complaining...many times it is not the company but the leadership in your community or district. Is your Executive of a leader or a manager mentality? This is what makes a community stand out. There is only one company that I worked for that was toxic from the top ownership down. Brookdale is not that company. Plus it is not a "cookie cutter" as some people describe it.

    Cons

I have outgrown my office and need a window

    Advice to Management

Thank you for hearing the recent voices of SM and the recent message of Ryan Wilson! Love this company!

I have been working at Brookdale Senior Living part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Management is very nice! The residents are very sweet and the work you do is rewarding. Very physically demanding, so it keeps me in shape!

    Cons

The pay isn't that great, but if you come here just for the money, then I don't understand why. Every year employees get a bonus based on their performance though.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in your employees, especially if they actually care for the residents. I have heard of many wonderful workers having to leave since they were not getting paid enough for the hard work they did.

I have been working at Brookdale Senior Living full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Well you get to spend a lot of time with your residence which I really love and you get to do fun activities and gone exciting trips with your residents. But them maim and best part of it all is getting to know them.

    Cons

I would say it's just the pay the pay sucks

    Advice to Management

I drive a bus to take my residents to appointments and we go on trips and I think that because we are activities Elise bump up the salary or something because we have a lot of lives in our hands and of course my life is at stake.I am very comfortable on the road but at the same time I always wanna make sure that you know my residence and myself and my boss is safe when driving but I think that they should bump up instead of making it 20 cents maybe $2 or $1 for driving the bus As a raise.
