I have been working at Brookfield Multiplex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Plenty of great talent and good people. Lots of social events. Job sites are very clean and safe. People don't clock watch as much so hours are more flexible

    Cons

Plenty of incompetent and unethical people too. HR don't have a safe forum to report sexist and inappropriate behaviour so many turn a blind eye to it

    Advice to Management

Promote people based on skill and knowledge rather than mates

I worked at Brookfield Multiplex (More than a year)

    Pros

they allow you to transfer to other regions easily if you are someone who wants to travel around the world.

    Cons

the company employs high volumes of grads. Many full-term employees are friends of friends and friends of management without any qualifications or experience. Some sites have up to 10 grads which becomes an issue when tight deadlines needs to be met. The worst is when those incompetent, recommended people are promoted to higher jobs becoming a major issue to the service provided to internal and external stakeholders. The Board most of the times has no clue of what happens in certain departments like IT for example, they simply buy what is sold to them by high level Management. HR have shown signs of corruption by covering up issues that should have resulted with the firing of certain individuals. Those individuals are "protected" by their line managers or friends who recommended them for the role. Don't bother raising any issues with HR, they'll refer confidential matters straight to the people you have raised complaints about. Double standards, bullying and backstabbing reign in this company. Bonuses are irrelevant too.

    Advice to Management

Start employing people with skills not friends of friends! Investigate management who don't provide any added value to the company as what they do is only travelling around the globe. Investigate your HR department.
