I worked at Brookshire Grocery full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are no good reasons to work there.

    Cons

Better be 18-25 or you won’t make it and in tip top shape and forget having to use the restroom you will loose too much time. Let’s also not forget the long and I mean long days you will work 12 to 15 hr days if you work there. Also forget about your family when you work there cause you won’t see them much at all. There is also the high turn over rate I was scared when they called a person who had been there 6 mths a vet I was like really that’s no good. The management does not care about you. I went into work one day I was not feeling good and I told the big boss this and all he had to say was you gonna be faster today. I take high blood pressure meds and I have to use the restroom a lot I told a supervisor this and all he said was you will just have to figure out how to make that time up. What will you be doing you ask? Well you will be building pallets of food for different stores as a package selector. Now let’s talk about the medical conditions you could very easily walk away with. Carpel tunnel, you can expect this in about 3 or so mths, arthritis not sure on this one but I saw a lot of people with it. Feeling in your feet, my feet will never be the same I still can’t feel my toes well 4 of them anyway. Now let’s talk about the working conditions if you aren’t what they call a heavy you can expect to be in the freezer 3 of the 4 days you work a week, the warmest place in the freezer is 20 the coldest is -20. If all of that sounds like fun then go on down and apply they will snatch you up quick. One more thing the work day starts at 9 AM have fun in the frozen wasteland.

    Advice to Management

Redo all of your work day game plan and bring in a much better way of doing things.
