    Pros

They Respect your School Schedule and work around your hours. I think that's just because your Work Study.

    Cons

There's too much drama amongst employees that it almost makes you feel like your in high school all over again.

    Advice to Management

I just think some things should be more fair. The situation with all the gossip is kind of annoying and can jeopardize other peoples life or jobs.

I worked at Broward Community College part-time

    Pros

The students are wonderful. Excellent teachers.

    Cons

Terrible pay that in no way reflects living wages. Tutors and adjuncts are offered the same pay that was given ten years ago. Tutors make on average what a retail employee would make - even tutors with advanced experience or degrees.

    Advice to Management

Please raise your tutoring and adjunct wages to reflect something approaching living wages. This is absolutely atrocious.

    Pros

    Cons

As an adjunct, it can be difficult to connect with other faculty members especially if you are not on the main campus.

    Pros

Data sharing and nice weather in winter

    Cons

No room to move up Favorites and friends pick their local candidates over anyone from the outside they don’t want diversity

    Advice to Management

Stop the cliques and all the hiring out of Barry University get some diversity in faculty training so they bring that to students too

I have been working at Broward Community College part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Students excited to learn and want you to get them involved. Good opportunity for continuing-education pleasant campuses with good weather year round.

    Cons

Limited opportunity to career growth and constant focus on being number 1 takes away from doing the right thing for students. Losing good professors because of politics and keeping hard working employees as part time hurts in the long run.

    Advice to Management

Stay focused on promoting faculty and staff from within and not being proud of keeping someone as an adjunct for decades like they are happy with half pay and no benefits.

I have been working at Broward Community College part-time

    Pros

There are fewer pros when an administration changes policy without notifying employees/faculty and with little regard for students. But they hire administrators at very high salaries.

    Cons

Negative impact on students because of little reliability on class offerings. Disregard for faculty. How do they expect to keep their accreditation and those awards they dearly cherish. No career opportunities. People are hired with certain expectations and then things change without any notification.

    Advice to Management

None, because they don't care. They have their own path that they feel is correct without consulting both full-time and part-time faculty.

Great environment; Perfect for current students: the job is a great resume-builder and helps reinforce the knowledge obtained in class. You are also surrounded by like-minded driven individuals in a welcoming environment!

    Cons

Didn't notice any: really enjoyed my time at BCC.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great job!

I worked at Broward Community College part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy, interactive, self improving. Great job for 1st -3rd job, or college student. Great access to team based training. Easy office tasks.

    Cons

Low pay, and not challenging. May not get a raise. Usually if you aren't taking courses there, then you won't be working.

    Advice to Management

    Not much
