I have been working at Broward Health full-time

    Pros

When i first started working for the district i loved it. They would go out there way to make the employees feel appreciated.
When the holidays would come around they would give out gift cards and raffle tvs and then the dept manager you worked for would also give you gift cards. We used to make bonus almost every other month for collecting money.

    Cons

Broward health has gotten worse after all there scandals. The district cut back on a lot of things to pay off there law suit. We no longer get gift cards during the holidays hospital week isnt celebrated likem it used to be. They started to try and cut peoples hours to save time and want you to clock out early. The main focus went from patient care to MONEY. The hospital now is all about making profit. This hospital also pays less then the competing hospital like Memorial and UM

I worked at Broward Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible with Schedule, great team help with Patient accounts, documentation in every account always available to help with visit and billing insurance . Management very helpful if need it.

    Cons

Under staffed a lot of missing referral and/or authorization from patients and department blamed even when trying our hardest to get information in timely fashion. Low pay increases, not recognized for the amount of hard work done on a daily heavy patient work load. missed lunches to get work complete before end of day do to being under staffed which no lunches was by choice.

I have been working at Broward Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They pay for school and it is good

    Cons

    They pay low, very low.
It is hard to get promotion or change position.
most time when you try to get into another position they try to cut your pay instead of increasing your salary.

    Advice to Management

Try to be more organize, try not to put the pressure from your company mistake on the lower leveled employees, create path for internal growth.

I have been working at Broward Health part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

great coworkers, nice managers, great team work, managers are very involved in improving the environment for both nurses and patients.

    Cons

get cancelled 2-3 days in a row, per diem status for new grads is that you have to work 3 days weekly and every other weekend , just like full time but without the benefits.

    Advice to Management

cancel workers with full time status that can use their PLs to replace it not the ones without PLS.
