    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Brown Shipley full-time

    Pros

Good WLB, friendly staff, good benefits package.

    Cons

Salaries not competitive - numerous pay freezes and negligible bonuses. 2nd tier management good, but the exec team all lack ambition, very much "yes men". Very beurocratic and not very dynamic. As one person said to me "you go here to see your career go backwards".

    Advice to Management

It really is time to let others take charge. A lot of Heads of Department are excellent but held back.

I worked at Brown Shipley part-time

    Pros

Benefits the company gives to employers

    Cons

Very slow in motivation. Behind the times.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Small, so get to know most people, friendly staff

    Cons

Management very out for selves only - ride roughshod over staff

    Advice to Management

Company is not run for your benefit. Staff are 1 of the stakeholders and will not generate profits and customer satisfaction if they are not appreciated

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

    Small company
    Good summer party
    Comfortable offices
    Nice people
    OK culture

    Cons

No real chances to move on
If the manager didn't like you then you didn't progress
Middle managers don't really have much ambition

    Advice to Management

Recognise working talent, push them into the deep end and see them sink or swim, but have some belief in their ability, otherwise it's a nice company to work for
