I worked at Bruckner Supply as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Pretty laid back environment. Coworkers and lower management made the monotone work bearable.

    Cons

It was an obvious dead end role.

    Pros

This was a great way to gain experience in the purchasing field.
The people I worked with were the nicest and were great to be around.
    A lot is learned.

    Cons

Not much room for growth at all
The raises are minimal, it is set, and pretty much know you'll be getting a small bump, has nothing to do with your capabilities.

    Advice to Management

Care about your workers, and pay them what they are worth, you are losing people on a daily basis because of this.

I have been working at Bruckner Supply full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

It's a job that pays the bills.
My coworkers are some of the best workers I have worked with.

    Cons

Where to begin...training is terrible, better learn quick! Management does not care about you, you can be replaced easily and for a lower salary. Salary is not competitive. Raises is not based on your work like they say. Each group gets a certain amount and it is up to the "window manager" to decide how it gets dispersed in their group. If they like you, you get more...slacker or not. Also, it is a boys club! They say "One Wesco" but what is good for one is not for the next. Certain managers should not be managers. They talk down to you and treat you with no respect.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employee with some respect and not like we are idiots and maybe their wouldn't be such a revolving door.

I have been working at Bruckner Supply full-time

    Pros

Independence - boss does not look over your shoulder or micro-manage. Flexible on hours and needs. Good customers

    Cons

No documented procedures. Need better communication regarding needs from a corporate end. Training is non-existent - better learn quick (and on your own)!!! Regional management is willing to embarrass you in large groups of peers

    Advice to Management

Try to be a little more employee friendly. Humiliation is not a good thing

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Bruckner Supply full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

there used to be some flexibility regarding work schedule and the medical benefits were good

    Cons

no real room for advancement, raises are not based on performance but a percentage allotted to the entire department and then dispersed among all employees. The harder you work the more they throw at you with no reward while slackers they just let keep slacking.
