I have been working at Brumos Automotive part-time

    Pros

If you are a people person, easiest job in the world for minimum wage. For five hours, you stand on one area, greet people, repeat. Great to work at while you're in school

    Cons

Having to balance dealing with management and the sales consultants. What they don't tell you is you must write these "cards" out on who's talking to who. Depended on how well the interaction is with the sales consultant, they will either earn or lose money, which basically gives you a target on your back from the sales consultants

    Advice to Management

    Remove the APD!!!

    I worked at Brumos Automotive

    Pros

A lot of good people to work with. Multiple dealerships from which to choose employment. Excellent HR department, kudos Gena J. and excellent CEO in Charlie Tom.

    Cons

Although management has changed significantly, there are some members of that role that should be reassessed and reviewed by the employees. Understanding the numbers game that is business, I found that many managers have lost the idea that represents the human element; a very important concept. This used to be a family oriented company and probably still clinches to some of that prospect, but it didn't have quite the same feel after the shift in management.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your dedicated and hardworking employees and show it or someone else will. Promotions should be given on merit, compliance, and outstanding excellence to the company and fellow employees, not the ones that talk the most or literally "suck up"; those are the ones that act completely different out of the view of the manager and degrade morale.

I worked at Brumos Automotive part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Looks pretty decent on a resume, considering the low skill level needed to do the job. You learn how to deal with adults that haven't yet grown up, which is a pretty valuable skill in the real world.

    Cons

High stress for little pay. Horrible, back-stabbing environment. Simply awful. You could go 6 months thinking that someone was a legitimately nice person, only to have that reality stripped away right before your eyes. Aside from the HR department, do not plan on trusting anyone there.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. You're obviously happy with the results.
